PowerPoint has been around for many years so people are getting tired of seeing the same stuff over again. This blog post will introduce the viewers to some new presentation tool alternatives. In Untangling the Web by Steve Dembo The author explains that the format for presenting information can be as important as the information itself. People can get bored when listening to the information if the visual effects are not effective. Protecting Digital Reputation In the book, LOL...OMG by Matt Ivester , the author talks about before posting the content on social media it is important to understand where content might end up, the people who will see it, and how people will react to the post. It is important to filter through content before posting it online and figure out the reason certain things should or should not be posted. Understanding the reason behind the action reduces the amount of risk taken when posting content. If someone was doing extensive research on a particular subject area, they could bookmark the website so it could be viewed later and sort the information based on personalized tags about the information for ease of access for themselves and others. These curation tools allow the user to collaborate ideas over the net with other groups of people. There are three types of curation tools and are specific to each job the user anticipates on doing . Mark Schlerethh during an interview talks about how everything is now at a touch of the fingertips because of the internet. He talks about how stories are not reviewed thoroughly and just posted onto the internet. Schlerethh also talks about how bloggers are not held to any journalist integrity.  He states “ Being first is more important than being right but years ago being right was the only thing that mattered.” He talks about how being  first generates more buzz even if it is not necessarily correct. Schlerethh recounts how an analyst found a tweet from two years prior that Charles Barkley had wrote. Charles Barkley talked about how James Harden was not a good player and should be not have been drafted to the Oklahoma Thunders. Also, that Harden was not the best player on the team and would prove to be a big waste of money. Then Barkley says later that Harden is a good player. Barkley never did his homework on Harden, that is why he made a bad judgement call when  saying Harden wa
