Today our class had a virtual meeting with Mr. Piercey . He showed us cool new tricks that I didn't even know that google maps was capable of doing. Google maps now has enhanced features that are taken from google earth.  We can now explore the world just like we do for google earth.  Even better we can use maps to travel to outer space! Today for the first time in my life I visited the moon. I was placed in a virtual version of International Space Station. They have cool tabs that educate people a little about the functions inside the station. Most Interesting place I found was the observation deck. Here is a picture. Another cool site I never knew existed was google earth engine. This site allows the user to see any specific town and get a 34 year time elapse of how the geography of that region has changed. We looked at Stockton University and watched the gradual progress of how it changed from when it was first a College to when it became a university. I can see the campus

Technology can be a very powerful tool when it is used appropriately. In the book LOL...OMG! By Matt Ivester, the author praises the invention of the internet. He talks about a lot of the improvements, contributions, and successes the internet has made in the educational realm. The internet is making knowledge obtainable for every person. It is no longer needed  for people to go to libraries that seem to be becoming less of a hang out for the college students. They now have tools that will answer questions for them or even use social media websites like twitter to directly talk to individuals around the world. While sites like twitter can be a very beneficial tool to the student, Ivester says to exercise caution when using these sites because they could also cause harm  to the educational process. Hello World, My name is Lamekia Berry and this will be my first Official Blog. I don't have any social media experience except for YouTube so please bear with me through my first post. I will tell you a little bit about myself my name is Lamekia Berry aka Meka or Meek Milly whatever Krazy name people  tend to come up with for me. I am  currently a senior and a Chemistry major. I am hoping that this will be my last year at Stockton (fingers crossed LOL)!
